The Sangam Cup 20-20 Cricket tournament, also known as "Leipzig Cricket Tournament", is getting prepared for cricket action in Leipzig on 29th and 30th September 2007. For the 2nd year of this tournament, Sangam joins in hand with StudentIhnenRat, University of Leipzig to host the players from Leipzig, Dresden and Stuttgart. This year the Sangam Cup will take place at Tarostrasse Sports Field in Leipzig. Admission to the tournament at the event will be free of charge to the public. The idea behind the drive is to synchronize and promote cricket in this region. The last year's tournament during September '06 between Leipzig and Dresden has created great excitement and entertainment for spectators and attendees. Mr. Siegfried Franz represented DCB (Deutsche Cricket Board) and took over the commentary of the match in German for the public and television, which gave a lot of excitement and entertainment for the spectators. This year too, we will have the following officials from Deutsche Cricket Bund and NordOstdeutscher Cricket Verband (NOCV) who will officiate the matches:
